Teardown complete. Everything from here on will be new. Supplies are brought in for the backyard masterpiece. Start of new staircase. Toni, my 16 year old, was my right hand as we put the stairs together and later on when building the fence. Plenty of figuring took place as changes were made on the fly by my wife Linda (the Foreman). New measurements means new cuts. The inspector arrives! Supervision is Key! Started getting the idea and measuring and cutting were spot on accurate. More inspecting and supervision by the teardown crew since her job is done. Ground floor complete. It’s time to pick up the pace. Lot #2 is finally in our possession and is added to lot #1 so more materials arrive and the fence posts start to go in the ground. Time to finish up the stairs. A final check for sturdiness… Stairs are finished and become regularly used by all. Now that the stairs are finished, the fence is starting to look good. More posts go up. Time to add slats. Leave room for a truck gate. Time to add the truck gate. digging big holes for big posts. Sometimes you have to get in to see for yourself how deep the hole is… Attach the gate posts to the fence posts. Time build the beautiful gates. Yet more loads of supplies. Back to the rest of the fence. 104 posts when the fence was complete. Now the Fence is done, it’s time to mark where to put the patio. Level the ground. Patio and walkway complete. Patio needs an additional piece to make it right. A totally enjoyable space… Laying the floor for a shed. Shed halfway built. Shed complete. House has a whole new look. Entire Project Passes Final Inspection.
